| The Pooch Pouch was further inspired by my faithful friend and loving companion "Ruger". We were working on it together until Ruger was diagnosed with cancer. He lost his battle to the terrible disease May 29, 2001. I was committed to completing the project in his honor. |
Each Pooch Pouch has been personally paw-tographed by Ruger.
Hi, my name is Ruger. I was born on October 19, 1996. When my mommy came to pick me out, I most vociferously called out to her.It was love at first sight. And, I wanted her to know, I was the one.I had fourteen brothers and sisters. I didn't want her to make any mistakes. So, with much coaxing on my part, I finally convinced her to take me home! I as six weeks old and a strapping seven pounds of pure puppy love. |

I grew up with my mom and was walking with her twice a day when we came up with the idea for the Pooch Pouch. I loved those walks. Our neighbors and friends sure appreciated out consideration for the neighborhood with that first Pooch Pouch my mommy fashioned. Since that time, we were perfection the idea. And, as you can see, each Pooch pouch has been personally paw-tographed by me. |
We lived very happily together. When I was nearly five years old, we found out I had cancer. I went through chemotherapy. We tried everything that could possibly be done to help me. Unfortunately, it was to no avail. I passed into doggie heaven, where I still keep an eye on my mommy's project. |
